Luminary primarily serves Laureate Park at Lake Nona, where the school is physically located. Portions of adjacent developments including Isles of Lake Nona and newer communities along the Luminary Boulevard corridor are also in the zone. Because OCPS rezoned several neighborhoods when Luminary opened in 2024, use the official "Find My School" tool at ocps.net to confirm your specific address — do not assume based on prior Lake Nona Middle or South Creek Middle assignments.

Enrollment is automatic for students who live inside the attendance zone — no application or lottery required. Register through OCPS student enrollment using your proof of address. If you are moving to the area, confirm your address is in the Luminary zone first (ocps.net Find My School), then initiate enrollment at the school registrar at (407) 635-2670. New-construction buyers in Laureate Park and nearby communities should verify the zone assignment at contract, not at closing.

Homes in and around Laureate Park range widely — from townhomes in the $400K–$550K range to single-family homes from $700K into the mid-seven figures for estate-sized lots. The Lake Nona area broadly has seen a median around $550K–$675K in 2025. Luminary opened in 2024 with the current OCPS security standard — controlled campus access, School Resource Officer, and ID-badge protocols. Because the school is new, there is no multi-year safety or discipline data yet; parents wanting trend data should ask OCPS directly for the School Environmental Safety Incident Reporting (SESIR) numbers once they are published for the 2024–25 year.

Lake Nona Middle is the established school — GreatSchools 10/10, Florida DOE A-rated, strong Algebra and science proficiency scores. Luminary is too new to have earned those ratings; it will not receive a Florida DOE school grade until 2025–26 at the earliest. The programs are comparable (both OCPS, both feeding Lake Nona High), but Lake Nona Middle has a larger alumni network and a longer track record.
