Come to ICON Park from Friday, May 26, to Monday, May 29, 2023, as they commemorate Memorial Day and pay tribute to the courageous individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our country. ICON Park is proud to honor our brave troops with a range of engaging activities throughout the Memorial Day Weekend.
On Friday, May 26, between 10 am and 3 pm, the park partnered with the US Army Kissimmee Recruiting Station to organize a special event. Families will have the opportunity to explore an impressive display of military vehicles, providing an up-close look at these remarkable machines. Moreover, there will be an abundance of enjoyable activities for everyone, and kids will have the chance to meet and converse with uniformed soldiers. The Army team will also be available in a dedicated tent, offering information about exciting careers in the military.
Additionally, from May 26 to 29, all active and retired military personnel will be granted complimentary access to The Wheel, the iconic attraction at ICON Park. Furthermore, their accompanying family members can benefit from a generous 50 percent discount on tickets to this thrilling experience.

Orange County Memorial Day Salute
Check out Cypress Grove Park on Saturday, May 27, 2023, for the much-awaited annual Memorial Day Salut. This special event is dedicated to honoring Colonel Joe W. Kittinger, Jr., and all Veterans. It is proudly presented by the Friends of Cypress Grove Park, and admission is free.
Don’t forget to bring your chairs, blankets, and a picnic to enjoy throughout the day. The program is filled with engaging activities, starting with a prelude at 9:45 a.m. From 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., you can look forward to an enlightening program that includes the Meaning and Folding of the American Flag, performances by the VFW Post 2093 Community Band, a Veterans Pinning Ceremony, a POW/MIA Presentation, an inspiring Patriotic Guest Speaker, and the Posting of the Colors.
