New York City eXp Realty agent Kurt Yang just landed the biggest residential transaction in eXp Realty history by representing the buyer of one of the most prominent properties in Manhattan.

The apartment was listed for $49,900,000 in October 2021 and the deal closed in early January for $40 million, making it the highest residential deal in eXp Realty history. The previous highest residential transaction at eXp was for $33,084,702 – a farm and ranch listing in Lago Vista, Texas, handled by eXp Realty agent Summer Carter.

“We worked hard on this deal, but I wouldn’t call it work, because it was so enjoyable,” said Kurt. “This took a year to come together between the two sides and the feeling is really good because my buyer got what he was looking for – a beautiful apartment in a prime area of New York City overlooking Central Park.”

Kurt worked 10 years for Goldman Sachs in wealth management while also investing in real estate. He turned to real estate full time in 2016, owning his own boutique brokerage with an office on Lexington Avenue in Manhattan. When the pandemic hit, the building closed and his business got hit hard. Wondering what to do next, a New York City eXp Realty agent made a timely connection and explained eXp’s cloud-based brokerage model. In March 2022, Kurt joined eXp.

Penthouse Offers Panoramic Views

This spectacular 8,274-square-foot apartment occupies the entire floor, offering 360-degree views of New York City, an historic and lively nexus of restaurants, high-end shopping, boutiques, monuments, statues, subway stops and of course, its direct access to Central Park on the southwest corner.

It boasts 13 rooms with five bedrooms and 6.5 baths and has 11.5-foot ceilings, including one entire wall with floor-to-ceiling windows.

As NYC condo penthouses go, this one is filled with high-end finishes and exotic materials. In addition to the sprawling master bedroom, there is an adjacent library and the guest bedrooms are all en suite.

The apartment includes a chef’s kitchen, media room, gym, den, 22-foot formal dining room and two fireplaces.

In addition, the building’s white-glove services and amenities include a full-time doorman, concierge, full-time superintendent, valet parking/garage, landscaped terrace with river views, massage room, playroom, state-of-the-art fitness center, swimming pool with city views, private screening room, pet terrace, Zen spa services, and a private meeting room, catering kitchen and dining area that accommodates up to 40 people.

It’s everything a discriminating buyer would want in New York City living.
