As though the name “Celebration,” did not give you enough to cheer about, Mattamy Homes has announced plans to release a limited number of lots in Celebration Island Village and will open sales to the public in EARLY JUNE! But wait, who is Mattamy Homes? We are glad you asked. Mattamy Homes, is a Canadian-based homebuilder, founded in Toronto by Peter Gilgan in 1978. It is one of the largest privately owned builders in North America, Mattamy Homes is Canada’s largest residential home builder and top-25 builder in the United States! So now that we have you up to speed…

Mattamy Homes is going to offer 238 single-family homes along with townhomes in the earlier stages of Island Village. Ultimately, a whopping total of 1,000 homes is scheduled to be completed at the project’s end. Overall, it has been reported that the company has paid $48 million dollars for all three (3) phases of Island Village; the ultimate residential village of the Disney master-planned community.

As part of its strategy, Mattamy Homes will also offer all-new floor plans exclusive ONLY to Island Village! Can someone shout, “YES!” as we celebrate this exclusivity in Celebration? (See what we did there?) With this three (3), four (4) or five (5) bedrooms, these open concept designs will offer from 1,613 to over 3,900 sq. ft. of living space and two (2) or three (3) car garages. Families, I hope I have your attention. The architectural styles in development, are going to be: Classical, Colonial, Coastal, Mediterranean and Craftsman.

If you thought this was the height of it all, think again. In addition to having access to the current amenities throughout the Celebration community, the Island Village residents can anticipate enjoying NEWER recreational spaces! Hello, new playground, and do I spot ponds in the distance? Oh, I think I also see a resort-styled clubhouse AND fitness center yonder too! But wait, is that a zero-entry pool with a lounge area AND an app-enabled outdoor fitness station?! I think I need a seat; these fantastic additions are just… too …much! Plus, for all your business needs, a business center will also be accessible throughout the day and open to all residents.

In even MORE exciting news, Dallas-based company Streetlights Residential, plans on building a nearby apartment complex, called The Colburn, at Island Village. Osceola County approved the Site Development Permit last November for this 300-unit luxury rental community, but the developer has not pulled the permits yet as the details need ironing out. Streetlights Residential is known for its high-end finishes and concierge level of service which reflects that of a boutique hotel.

You may even be delighted to hear, that there are a few other projects in the pipeline too, enhancing the appeal of this community to the BEST it possibly can. A bit further up on Celebration Boulevard, a Washington D.C. based developer, Kettler, is putting the finishing touches on a $75 million-dollar Delamarre at Celebration apartment community. A 379-unit apartment community to be precise, with plans to encompass a hotel, multifamily and possible senior housing. Kettler also has plans to incorporate 95 units as part of a second phase, but the finality of the timeline is to-be-determined.

Furthermore, Mississippi-based, Heritage Hospitality Group has construction plans for a first Florida hotel adjacent to Delamarre, for a 128-key Homewood Suites. And, not wanting to be left out, Unicorp National Development has also filed construction plans for Celebration Pointe, the Publix-moored retail center at Celebration Boulevard and World Drive. Early chatter of designs surrounds a Mid-Century “Deco Modern” style with asymmetrical rooflines, pastel color palettes and materials like glass block. Talk about fancy!

In addition to Publix, these are some of the other outlets you can expect to be a part of this community: Walgreens, AdventHealth Centre Care and imaging center, Great Clips, Club Pilates, the UPS Store, Alora Salon and Le Nails. Some restaurants include: Burger King, Dunkin Donuts, Domino’s, Gelato, Good Life Organics, Celebration Brew Pub, and a French café!

Some exciting times lie ahead for this gorgeous community. Stay tuned to our website to find out more, as we keep you up to date on all Central Florida happenings!
