ORRA Takes Serving Central Florida to New Levels!

There are some BIG changes coming soon by the Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association (ORRA). The groundbreaking announcement has been made that the organization’s new headquarters is in the works and would be conveniently located off I-4, near Lee Road. If you are not familiar, the Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association is one of the largest local trade associations in the state of Florida, with more than 20,000 REALTORS® and affiliate members in Orange, Seminole, and the surrounding counties. The membership of ORRA is comprised of residential and commercial REALTORS®; brokers; salespeople; property managers; appraisers; counselors and others who are engaged in all aspects of the real estate industry.

Let us get back to the exciting news at hand! This new complex houses approximately 100,000 sq. ft. of office space, it will consist of three (3) buildings, situated on a whopping 7.2 acres! The property caught the eye of the organization in late 2019 and was at 92% vacancy during that period. The property was then bought in 2021, allowing it to be further developed in a prime location along the I-4 area. As education is a strong focus of ORRA, this property allows for just that and along with a plethora of room for meeting spaces, this would catapult ORRA’s 19,000-member trade association into the next era of the real estate professional space!

ORRA needs this new space, as its now the eighth-largest real estate association in the country and shows no signs of slowing down. “As we celebrate 100 years of Orlando real estate, we are looking to a future that serves our members and our community as a whole,” explained 2021 ORRA President Natalie Arrowsmith, NextHome Arrowsmith Realty. “Our new headquarters will give us a better home base to provide that support.”

“It’s time to welcome our REALTORS® home to a place that can handle our rapidly growing membership,” said ORRA CEO Cliff Long. “As we put a heavy emphasis on education, we need a space to accommodate an increasing list of classes and events.”

The meeting and event space provided within the new headquarters will allow members and the public to benefit by renting it out, generating independent revenue for the organization. The building will be designed by Scott + Cormia Architecture and Interiors, and PBC Construction will serve as the general contractor. The mortgage lender was Fifth Third Bank.

This building will boast a modern design, mirroring the new age of real estate, as ORRA celebrates its 100th anniversary. Construction is expected to be completed by the time Orlando greets REALTORS® from all over the world at the 2022 National Association of REALTORS® Conference and EXPO in Orlando!

This is exciting news and a very revolutionary time for the organization. How do you think the new building will contribute to the innovation and creativity of the real estate profession? What are some benefits you think Central Florida residents can look forward to?

I would love to hear your thoughts in the comment section, below!
