About
I am Joshua Cheatham, a native Floridian born and raised in the Orlando area. Currently, I live between East Orlando and Downtown. One thing I love about where I live is how eclectic and diverse the area is, plus, there are a variety of restaurants and coffee shops, which are some of my favorite places to enjoy.
I attended the University of Central Florida, obtained my bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, and had the opportunity to participate in an internship at the University’s Human Resources department. My talents at the department were quickly recognized, and I was promoted within the program to the Talent Acquisition team and attended many job fairs on behalf of the University’s recruitment team. During this period, I was also working my way towards a managerial position at Marlow’s Tavern, the neighborhood American bistro. I started as a server, subsequently became a bartender, and ultimately got promoted to manager.
Before obtaining my real estate license and joining the Ben Laube Homes Team, I was involved in the hospitality industry. I chose to pursue a career in real estate to combine my genuine interest in enhancing lives along with my dedication to building long-lasting personal and professional relationships. Always passionate about helping people, I adeptly managed college, work and community volunteering while simultaneously acquiring my undergraduate degree at the University of Central Florida.
In addition to possessing a strong work ethic and a drive to succeed, I also am an active participant in community outreach and human rights causes. I am a volunteer at Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, regularly working shifts to help fight hunger throughout the Orlando area. I am also currently pursuing membership in The Pride Chamber, supporting the mission of providing business equality to the LGTBQ community in greater Orlando.
Understanding that purchasing property is one of the most significant steps a person can make in their life, I am dedicated to helping buyers and sellers make their real estate dreams a reality. My background in legal studies helps significantly in the negotiation and contract process, so with my understanding of real estate law, I can provide you the best service possible.
I enjoy being on the move, quite literally! Outside of real estate, I love to travel and explore new countries, cities, and small towns because the best way to get to truly understand different cultures, is to experience it. I also cherish spending quality time with my family and friends while bonding over a delicious meal, whether it involves cooking at home, or going out.
I look forward to getting to know you and helping you throughout your journey of buying a home or selling one. Contact me today, let's discuss your options in making your real estate dreams come true!
